Beverage Cart Attendant Standard Operating Procedure
Jordan Carter | June 2026
I created this as a guide and training tool for the other Beverage Cart Attendants that I have worked with and it is still used today with new hires.
As a beverage cart attendant, your job is to constantly be present on the golf course to provide the golfers with any refreshments that they might need. To ensure the highest quality of service, please show up to work in uniform (black athletic dress, white shoes) with hair/ makeup (if worn) done, always be friendly and respect the rules of Golf.
What your typical day should look like:
When you arrive for your scheduled shift, ensure that the cart is clean and has a full tank of gas. Drive the cart from the cart barn over to the loading dock to begin the first restock of the day. Include all items listed below in the restock. Collect the iPad and log into your register with your name and password provided. Once you are set up and ready, drive the golf course, beginning on hole 18, moving in the opposite direction of the players until you reach hole 1, stopping for each group as you go. Restock as needed. At the end of the day, place specific items (listed below) back into the cooler, wash the cart and return it to the parking spot in the cart barn. Close your cash drawer, drop any cash with the club accountant and return the iPad and card reader to the chargers.
General Rules and Etiquette:
-
Always stop at least 75 yards from the tee box if players are present and preparing to tee off
-
Never drive forward until the players have completed their stroke
